Some Are Watching and Waiting. Some Are Waiting and Watching.
By Adanne Chukwudi Udejiofor
Every step you take, someone is watching.
But not all eyes are the same.
Some people are watching and waiting โ waiting to see how they can support you, how they can offer encouragement, or how they can align with your purpose. These are the ones who smile quietly when they see you post something bold. They may not always comment or shout, but their support is steady. Theyโre watching because they care. They believe in you, even from afar.
Then there are others โ the ones who are waiting and watching. Theyโre not clapping. Theyโre calculating. They don’t show up when you’re building, but they appear when something shakes. They’re not really watching to grow with you, they’re waiting for something to talk about. A slip. A stumble. A flaw they can point at and say, โI knew it.โ
The truth is, both groups exist. You donโt need to fear them โ just know who youโre dealing with.
This isnโt a warning to dim your light. Itโs a reminder to stay rooted. Stay alert. Donโt let the fear of being misunderstood stop you from standing tall. Let the support lift you. Let the opposition sharpen your focus. But never let either group define your journey.
Keep moving. Keep showing up. Whether theyโre watching to cheer you on or watching to see you fall, let them see you become.
