My story growing up? Let me tell you something real…”
There was a point I couldn’t even afford transport to complete JSS3.
Things changed, money dried up but giving up? That was never an option.
I would come out in the morning in Lagos, Isheri Oshun… not with a transport fare, but with hope.
I would scan the bus queue for a kind woman who could “lap me.” When she paid and dropped, I would quietly claim the seat and go to school.
On rough days, I world trek from Alimosho Grammar School to Orelope, dust on my sandals, sweat in my eyes but my dream stayed sharp.
That was how I learned to unlearn fear.
Not every battle is won by fighting some are won by showing up scared and staying anyway.
Because fear is loud, but purpose is louder.
You don’t have to feel brave to act brave.
