Some days I just want to cryโฆ
Some days I laughโฆ
Some days I dance like nobody is watching.
But every single day, one truth remains the same:
GOD DON OVER TRY FOR ME.
When I look back at my journey, it still feels unreal.
I studied Mass Communication in Nigeria, and even though creativity was always in my blood, life didnโt hand me a straight path. I didnโt grow up with all the resources. I didnโt have the perfect portfolio. I didnโt even know what โcreative industryโ really meant at the time โ I just knew I loved to design, write, and create things that made people feel something.
Then I applied to study Graphic Communications in the UK.
My school asked me for evidence of my design work.
Samples. Proof. Something to show I could truly do this course.
At that moment, I froze.
Fear wanted to embarrass meโฆ but grace carried me.
I didnโt have the fanciest designs. I didnโt have industry mentorship.
But I had raw talent, passion, and the courage to create something from scratch โ even when I doubted myself.
I put together what I hadโฆ and they accepted me.
Today, everything that once looked like a disadvantage has become part of my story as a Graphic Designer, Creative & Digital Specialist, and someone building a career step by step, day by day.
And this is why Iโm sharing this:
๐ Your background does not disqualify you.
๐ Your journey can start from anywhere.
๐ Your passion is enough to open doorsโif you dare to show your work.
๐ Start with what you have. Build from where you are.
๐ And never underestimate what God can do with your little.
To every young creative, especially those coming from Nigeria or any part of the world where opportunities feel far away:
Please donโt give up.
Document your work. Create small things. Learn consistently. Your โnothingโ today can become your โevidenceโ tomorrow.
If God can take my simple passion for design and turn it into a global journey, He can do more for you.
Keep creating. Keep growing. Keep believing.
