Not every win comes with loud applause. Some arrive quietly.I officially became one of the Mentors at Mentro and this is one big step for me.
To some people, it might just be another badge or another platform. To me, it’s a reminder of how quickly life can change when you refuse to quit.I still remember arriving in the UK, trying to understand a completely different job market, facing rejections, questioning myself, and wondering if anyone would ever give me a chance.Instead of giving up, I started learning.
I studied recruitment. I rewrote CVs. I mastered LinkedIn. I learned how NHS recruitment works. Every rejection became research. Every setback became a lesson. Then something unexpected happened.People started asking me for help. One application became two. Two became ten.
Then came interview invitations, job offers, messages that began with, “I got the job!”Those messages mean more to me than any title ever could.Today, being welcomed into Mentro as an Associate Mentor feels like another confirmation that the difficult journey was worth it.I’m grateful for every person who trusted me before I had the titles.
I’m grateful for every rejection that forced me to improve. And I’m grateful for everyone who continues to support my journey. This isn’t the finish line. It’s another reminder that when you keep showing up, opportunities eventually start looking for you. Here’s to helping many more people land the careers they deserve. โค๏ธ
